Visionary Language

I established Visionary Language in 1992.  From an early age I had always had an interest in photography.  At the age of 14  I was given my first camera, seeing that black and white print develop was the magic that got me hooked.  I felt compelled to photograph the world around me, walking the streets of Birmingham by day .... and night, inspired by 1930's French Photographer's Henri Cartier-Bresson and Brassai.

I initially completed a National Diploma in Photography at Bournville College of Art, followed by a Higher National Diploma in Photography and Film Making at Plymouth College of Art.  I specialized in Film Making, and had a role in the making of a student film that was shown at the 1986 Cannes Film Festival.  The experience helped develop my photography skills and approach to today's assignments.

26 years on, I have covered over 10500 commissions to date.  My client's include numerous Housing Associations locally and nationally, Local Authorities;  House Builder's;  Leading Communication and PR Agencies;  Banking & Legal;  Charities;  Community Projects and Services.  With work featured in most regional and national press.

My long career and experience as a photographer enables me to adapt to situations, think on my feet, contribute ideas and direction.  I offer a friendly approach and am totally committed to the clients requirements.
